Work on UK Company Data

Vladislav builds UK Company Data, the data and software behind this site: the loader for the monthly Companies House register, the iXBRL parser that turns machine-readable accounts into balance sheet and profit and loss figures, the company pages, the REST API and the MCP server that lets AI assistants query the data.

Before this Vladislav ran UK Company Financial Intelligence, a research project under the AIRR Rapid Access programme on the Isambard-AI supercomputer in Bristol. It used a vision language model to extract balance sheet figures from scanned PDF accounts and checked the results against iXBRL filings. The code is public on GitHub.

How the pages are written

• Primary sources first. Rules and deadlines are checked against legislation.gov.uk and GOV.UK guidance, and each page links to what it relies on.
• Real filings, not invented examples. Worked examples use actual Companies House filings, and the data reports are counted directly from the register and the accounts data. See the methodology for how the data is processed and where it falls short.
• No financial advice. The pages explain what the public record shows. They are not a credit rating, an audit or legal or tax advice. For decisions that matter, talk to a qualified accountant or solicitor.
• Dated and corrected. Every page shows when it was last updated. Errors are fixed and the date is changed.
